About this task

This AI research company for drug discovery (5,000+ employees) is looking for a manager Social Media Manager for an ongoing part-time engagement of 4–10 h a week. Plans and publishes posts across channels.

The company wants a senior person on this without carrying the cost of a full-time role. It builds AI products and needs human experts to check what the models produce.

The team sits in Austin. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. Most people do this on weekday evenings; replies inside the working day are not expected. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (CT).

What you deliver

• Schedule 12 posts a week across LinkedIn, Instagram and X from an approved monthly plan.
• Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
• Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
• A written update every Wednesday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked

What a week looks like

• Daily: one hour at a time that suits you, inside the agreed window
• Tuesday: ten-minute sync if anything is blocked
• Wednesday: weekly summary posted to the shared thread

Duration: 12 weeks, renewable. Accepted when the output matches the agreed checklist and the sample check passes; the recruiter confirms by e-mail.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in USD after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
