About this task
This Series B vertical software provider for HR teams (51–200 employees) is looking for a manager Month-End Close Accountant for a single piece of work with a fixed scope and a fixed price. Turns the close into a dated checklist with owners and reminders.
It is a self-contained job: scope, checklist and price are agreed before you start. The company sells subscription software, so deadlines follow release and billing cycles.
The work is fully remote. Any location in United States works, with a few hours of overlap with the team's day. Evenings or weekends are fine, as long as the agreed weekly output is there.
What you deliver
- Convert a 60-step close process into a dated checklist with owners, dependencies and a status board.
- A final note stating what was checked and what was left out of scope
- One round of edits after the company's review is included
- The finished deliverable in the agreed file format, with sources and assumptions listed
How the work runs
- Day 1: kickoff call and access to the files
- Days 2 to 6: the work, with questions answered the same day
- Last day: delivery and a short walkthrough
Duration: about 10 working days. Accepted when the company contact confirms the deliverable against the written checklist. One round of edits is included.
