About this task
This Series C B2B software company for hospitals and clinics (201–500 employees) is looking for a senior Data Scientist for a single piece of work with a fixed scope and a fixed price. A model that predicts who leaves or buys, with its accuracy explained.
It is a self-contained job: scope, checklist and price are agreed before you start. The company sells subscription software, so deadlines follow release and billing cycles.
The work is fully remote, but the company can only contract people who live in New Mexico, so this one is for residents there. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call.
What you deliver
- Build and validate a churn model on 30 months of customer data and explain the top drivers in plain language.
- A 20-minute walkthrough call, or a recorded screen share if you prefer
- One round of edits after the company's review is included
- The finished deliverable in the agreed file format, with sources and assumptions listed
How the work runs
- Day 1: scope confirmed in writing, files shared
- Middle of the period: draft shared for early feedback
- Last day: final version and handover note
Duration: 2 to 3 weeks. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.
