About this task

This management consulting firm for family businesses (501–1,000 employees) is looking for a senior Bookkeeper for a monthly bundle of recurring tasks, 12–30 h a month. Brings late books up to date and ready for the accountant.

A named list of recurring items keeps the month predictable for both sides. It is a consulting firm, so client deadlines set the pace and handover notes are expected.

The team sits in Trieste. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. Most people do this on weekday evenings; replies inside the working day are not expected.

What you deliver

• Clean up six months of unposted transactions for a retail LLC and deliver reconciled accounts and a trial balance.
• A running log of open questions, reviewed at the start of each week
• A month-end summary with hours used against the cap
• The monthly list of items completed, each with a link to the result

What a month looks like

• Week 1: intake call and a list of what is due this month
• Weeks 2 and 3: items completed in short sessions
• Week 4: month-end summary and the list for next month

Duration: 6 months, with a monthly hours cap. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in EUR after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
• You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
