About this task
This Packaged-food brand selling in 20 countries (1,001–5,000 employees) is looking for a senior Bookkeeper for a monthly bundle of recurring tasks, 12–30 h a month. Brings late books up to date and ready for the accountant.
The same kind of work comes back every month, so the company prefers one person with an hours cap over ad-hoc requests. It sells consumer goods through retailers, so planning cycles run to a fixed monthly calendar.
The work is fully remote and open to anyone living in an EU country; the team itself works from Spain. Most people do this on weekday evenings; replies inside the working day are not expected. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (CET).
What you deliver
- Clean up six months of unposted transactions for a retail LLC and deliver reconciled accounts and a trial balance.
- The monthly list of items completed, each with a link to the result
- A running log of open questions, reviewed at the start of each week
- A named list of items moved to next month, so nothing is lost
What a month looks like
- Week 1: intake call and a list of what is due this month
- Weeks 2 and 3: items completed in short sessions
- Week 4: month-end summary and the list for next month
Duration: 12 weeks, with a monthly hours cap. Accepted when the company contact confirms the deliverable against the written checklist. One round of edits is included.
