About this task

This digital bank serving farmers and food producers (201–500 employees) is looking for a senior Bookkeeper for a monthly bundle of recurring tasks, 12–30 h a month. Brings late books up to date and ready for the accountant.

A named list of recurring items keeps the month predictable for both sides. It is a regulated bank; the work is documented and reviewed before anything is signed off.

The team sits in Groningen. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call.

What you deliver

  • Clean up six months of unposted transactions for a retail LLC and deliver reconciled accounts and a trial balance.
  • A running log of open questions, reviewed at the start of each week
  • The monthly list of items completed, each with a link to the result
  • A named list of items moved to next month, so nothing is lost

What a month looks like

  • Week 1: intake call and a list of what is due this month
  • Weeks 2 and 3: items completed in short sessions
  • Week 4: month-end summary and the list for next month

Duration: 12 weeks, with a monthly hours cap. Accepted on the company's written OK. If something is missed, you fix it in the same week at no extra charge to either side.
