About this task

This boutique advisory firm for family businesses (501–1,000 employees) is looking for a director Fractional CFO for a single piece of work with a fixed scope and a fixed price. Weekly or monthly runway view with scenarios and decisions that change it.

It is a self-contained job: scope, checklist and price are agreed before you start. It is a consulting firm, so client deadlines set the pace and handover notes are expected.

The team sits in Warsaw. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. Most people do this on weekday evenings; replies inside the working day are not expected. About 1 hour a week should overlap with the team's day (CET).

What you deliver

• Rebuild the 18-month cash forecast with base, downside and hiring-freeze cases and list the five levers that extend runway.
• One round of edits after the company's review is included
• A final note stating what was checked and what was left out of scope
• The finished deliverable in the agreed file format, with sources and assumptions listed

How the work runs

• Day 1: scope confirmed in writing, files shared
• Middle of the period: draft shared for early feedback
• Last day: final version and handover note

Duration: 2 to 3 weeks. Accepted when the company contact confirms the deliverable against the written checklist. One round of edits is included.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in EUR after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
• You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
