About this task
This Series C generative-AI company for finance teams (501–1,000 employees) is looking for a director Fractional CFO for a single piece of work with a fixed scope and a fixed price. Weekly or monthly runway view with scenarios and decisions that change it.
The work is too small to justify a hire and too important to leave to chance. It builds AI products and needs human experts to check what the models produce.
The work is fully remote. Any location in Canada works, with a few hours of overlap with the team's day. Most people do this on weekday evenings; replies inside the working day are not expected.
What you deliver
- Rebuild the 18-month cash forecast with base, downside and hiring-freeze cases and list the five levers that extend runway.
- One round of edits after the company's review is included
- A final note stating what was checked and what was left out of scope
- The finished deliverable in the agreed file format, with sources and assumptions listed
How the work runs
- Day 1: kickoff call and access to the files
- Days 2 to 5: the work, with questions answered the same day
- Last day: delivery and a short walkthrough
Duration: about 10 working days. Accepted when the company contact confirms the deliverable against the written checklist. One round of edits is included.
