About this task

This education provider for corporate training (5,000+ employees) is looking for a senior Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist for an ongoing part-time engagement of 3–6 h a week. Matches incoming payments to open invoices.

The company wants a senior person on this without carrying the cost of a full-time role. It works in education, with a calendar built around terms and enrolment peaks.

The work is fully remote. Any location in United States works, with a few hours of overlap with the team's day. Most people do this on weekday evenings; replies inside the working day are not expected. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (CT).

What you deliver

  • Apply the week's receipts to invoices, resolve short payments and post unapplied cash to a holding account.
  • Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
  • A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
  • Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day

What a week looks like

  • Friday: 15-minute check-in to agree the week's items
  • Tuesday: main working block (2 hours)
  • Monday: hand-off note with what shipped and what is open

Duration: 12 weeks, renewable. Accepted when the company contact confirms the deliverable against the written checklist. One round of edits is included.
