About this task
This publishing house in lifestyle (501–1,000 employees) is looking for a specialist Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist for an ongoing part-time engagement of 3–6 h a week. Matches incoming payments to open invoices.
Workload peaks and dips, so a few fixed hours a week fit better than a full-time seat. It publishes content on a schedule, so editorial deadlines are fixed.
The work is fully remote. Any location in United Kingdom works, with a few hours of overlap with the team's day. The work runs in two set slots a week, agreed with the team at the start. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (UK time).
What you deliver
- Apply the week's receipts to invoices, resolve short payments and post unapplied cash to a holding account.
- Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
- A written update every Tuesday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
- A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
What a week looks like
- Wednesday: pick up the queue and confirm priorities
- Midweek: two short working sessions of one to two hours
- Tuesday: update sent before the company's end of day
Duration: 16 weeks, renewable. Accepted on the company's written OK. If something is missed, you fix it in the same week at no extra charge to either side.
