About this task

This digital bank serving small businesses (201–500 employees) is looking for a senior Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist for an ongoing part-time engagement of 3–6 h a week. Matches incoming payments to open invoices.

The person who did this left, and the company would rather bring in an experienced part-timer than rush a permanent hire. It is a regulated bank; the work is documented and reviewed before anything is signed off.

The team sits in Paderborn. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call. About 1 hour a week should overlap with the team's day (CET).

What you deliver

  • Apply the week's receipts to invoices, resolve short payments and post unapplied cash to a holding account.
  • A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
  • Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
  • A written update every Monday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked

What a week looks like

  • Tuesday: 15-minute check-in to agree the week's items
  • Thursday: main working block (2 hours)
  • Monday: hand-off note with what shipped and what is open

Duration: 6 months, then month by month. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.

Not included

  • Managing other contractors or employees
  • Work outside the scope written in the brief; extra items are quoted separately

How you get paid
