About this task
This machinery maker supplying aerospace (501–1,000 employees) is looking for a senior Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist for an ongoing part-time engagement of 3–6 h a week. Matches incoming payments to open invoices.
Workload peaks and dips, so a few fixed hours a week fit better than a full-time seat. It manufactures physical products, and the office team works to month-end and plant schedules.
The work is fully remote, but the company can only contract people who live in North Carolina, so this one is for residents there. The work runs in two set slots a week, agreed with the team at the start. About 3 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (ET).
What you deliver
- Apply the week's receipts to invoices, resolve short payments and post unapplied cash to a holding account.
- A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
- Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
- A written update every Friday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
What a week looks like
- Daily: one hour at a time that suits you, inside the agreed window
- Monday: ten-minute sync if anything is blocked
- Friday: weekly summary posted to the shared thread
Duration: 12 weeks, renewable. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.
