About this task
This omnichannel retailer selling furniture (11–50 employees) is looking for a senior Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist for an ongoing part-time engagement of 3–6 h a week. Matches incoming payments to open invoices.
The team is stretched and wants steady, predictable help instead of another full-time hire. It is a retailer with stores and an online channel, and the team works to a weekly trading rhythm.
The work is fully remote, but the company can only contract people who live in Newfoundland and Labrador, so this one is for residents there. The work runs in two set slots a week, agreed with the team at the start. About 1 hour a week should overlap with the team's day (NT).
What you deliver
- Apply the week's receipts to invoices, resolve short payments and post unapplied cash to a holding account.
- Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
- A written update every Thursday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
- A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
What a week looks like
- Daily: one hour at a time that suits you, inside the agreed window
- Friday: ten-minute sync if anything is blocked
- Thursday: weekly summary posted to the shared thread
Duration: 12 weeks, renewable. Accepted when the company contact confirms the deliverable against the written checklist. One round of edits is included.
