About this task

This construction group in student housing (201–500 employees) is looking for a senior Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist for an ongoing part-time engagement of 3–6 h a week. Matches incoming payments to open invoices.

Workload peaks and dips, so a few fixed hours a week fit better than a full-time seat. It works in real estate and construction, where project documents change often.

The team sits in Burlington. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. Evenings or weekends are fine, as long as the agreed weekly output is there.

What you deliver

  • Apply the week's receipts to invoices, resolve short payments and post unapplied cash to a holding account.
  • A written update every Tuesday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
  • Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
  • Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day

What a week looks like

  • Wednesday: 15-minute check-in to agree the week's items
  • Monday: main working block (2 hours)
  • Tuesday: hand-off note with what shipped and what is open

Duration: 6 months, then month by month. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.
