About this task

This Series C AI research company for code (501–1,000 employees) is looking for a senior Red-Teamer for a rating and review programme for AI output in your own field, 4–10 h a week. Tests answers across names, groups and settings for unequal treatment.

The programme needs subject-matter experts who can tell a good answer from a plausible one in their own field. It builds AI products and needs human experts to check what the models produce.

The work is fully remote. Any location in Canada works, with a few hours of overlap with the team's day.

What you deliver

• Run 40 matched prompt pairs and record differences in tone or advice.
• Flags for answers that are unsafe, off-topic or wrong in your field
• A weekly count of items reviewed, confirmed by the programme lead
• Ratings entered in the client's tool against the written rubric, with a one-line reason each

What a week looks like

• Friday: pick up the queue and confirm priorities
• Midweek: two short working sessions of one to two hours
• Wednesday: update sent before the company's end of day

Duration: Weekly batches for 12 weeks, renewed every four weeks. Accepted when the company contact confirms the deliverable against the written checklist. One round of edits is included.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in CAD after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
• You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.

The midpoint of this range, CA$68 an hour, is above the median senior Red-Teamer rate in Canada (CA$65). The shaded band is the 25th to 75th percentile of the market.
