About this task
This health insurer for gig workers (201–500 employees) is looking for a specialist Payroll Specialist for an ongoing part-time engagement of 3–6 h a week. Collects changes, runs the payroll and checks the register.
The person who did this left, and the company would rather bring in an experienced part-timer than rush a permanent hire. It is an insurer, so accuracy and an audit trail come before speed.
The company prefers a person who can come to Paris for kickoff and the final review; the rest is remote. The company prefers early-morning hours, before a normal working day starts. About 3 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (CET).
What you deliver
- Run the bi-weekly payroll for 100 employees, compare to the prior run and resolve variances above 5%.
- Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
- A written update every Wednesday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
- A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
What a week looks like
- Thursday: 15-minute check-in to agree the week's items
- Tuesday: main working block (2 hours)
- Wednesday: hand-off note with what shipped and what is open
Duration: 12 weeks, renewable. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.
