About this task

This education foundation in education access (501–1,000 employees) is looking for a senior Payroll Specialist for an ongoing part-time engagement of 3–6 h a week. Collects changes, runs the payroll and checks the register.

The team is stretched and wants steady, predictable help instead of another full-time hire. It is a nonprofit, so budgets are tight and grant reporting dates are fixed.

The work is fully remote and open to anyone living in an EU country; the team itself works from Netherlands. Evenings or weekends are fine, as long as the agreed weekly output is there. About 3 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (CET).

What you deliver

  • Run the bi-weekly payroll for 80 employees, compare to the prior run and resolve variances above 5%.
  • Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
  • A written update every Tuesday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
  • A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends

What a week looks like

  • Wednesday: pick up the queue and confirm priorities
  • Midweek: two short working sessions of one to two hours
  • Tuesday: update sent before the company's end of day

Duration: 6 months, then month by month. Accepted when the company contact confirms the deliverable against the written checklist. One round of edits is included.
