About this task

This Series B HR software company for field-service companies (201–500 employees) is looking for a manager Payroll Specialist for an ongoing part-time engagement of 3–6 h a week. Collects changes, runs the payroll and checks the register.

The company wants a senior person on this without carrying the cost of a full-time role. The company sells subscription software, so deadlines follow release and billing cycles.

The team sits in Munich. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. The work runs in two set slots a week, agreed with the team at the start. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (CET).

What you deliver

  • Run the bi-weekly payroll for 100 employees, compare to the prior run and resolve variances above 5%.
  • A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
  • A written update every Tuesday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
  • Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call

What a week looks like

  • Friday: pick up the queue and confirm priorities
  • Midweek: two short working sessions of one to two hours
  • Tuesday: update sent before the company's end of day

Duration: 6 months, then month by month. Accepted when the output matches the agreed checklist and the sample check passes; the recruiter confirms by e-mail.
