About this task
This Customer-support software company for construction firms (1,001–5,000 employees) is looking for a specialist Payroll Specialist for an ongoing part-time engagement of 3–6 h a week. Collects changes, runs the payroll and checks the register.
The company wants a senior person on this without carrying the cost of a full-time role. The company sells subscription software, so deadlines follow release and billing cycles.
The team sits in Gilbert. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. The company prefers early-morning hours, before a normal working day starts. About 3 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (MST).
What you deliver
- Run the bi-weekly payroll for 100 employees, compare to the prior run and resolve variances above 5%.
- Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
- A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
- A written update every Monday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
What a week looks like
- Daily: one hour at a time that suits you, inside the agreed window
- Wednesday: ten-minute sync if anything is blocked
- Monday: weekly summary posted to the shared thread
Duration: 12 weeks, renewable. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.
