About this task
This staffing firm for healthcare staffing (1,001–5,000 employees) is looking for a specialist Payroll Specialist for an ongoing part-time engagement of 3–6 h a week. Collects changes, runs the payroll and checks the register.
The person who did this left, and the company would rather bring in an experienced part-timer than rush a permanent hire. It works in staffing and HR technology, and the team is used to external specialists.
The team sits in Düsseldorf. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. The company prefers early-morning hours, before a normal working day starts. About 1 hour a week should overlap with the team's day (CET).
What you deliver
- Run the bi-weekly payroll for 50 employees, compare to the prior run and resolve variances above 5%.
- Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
- Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
- A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
What a week looks like
- Wednesday: pick up the queue and confirm priorities
- Midweek: two short working sessions of one to two hours
- Thursday: update sent before the company's end of day
Duration: 6 months, then month by month. Accepted when the output matches the agreed checklist and the sample check passes; the recruiter confirms by e-mail.
