About this task
This boutique advisory firm for private equity (501–1,000 employees) is looking for a manager Payroll Specialist for an ongoing part-time engagement of 3–6 h a week. Collects changes, runs the payroll and checks the register.
The team is stretched and wants steady, predictable help instead of another full-time hire. It is a consulting firm, so client deadlines set the pace and handover notes are expected.
The team sits in Cardiff. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. The work runs in two set slots a week, agreed with the team at the start. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (UK time).
What you deliver

- Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
What a week looks like
- Wednesday: 15-minute check-in to agree the week's items
- Tuesday: main working block (2 hours)
- Friday: hand-off note with what shipped and what is open
Duration: 12 weeks, renewable. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.
