About this task
This insurtech company for professional liability (501–1,000 employees) is looking for a manager Fractional Controller for a single piece of work with a fixed scope and a fixed price. Written accounting policies and a procedures manual that new hires can follow.
The work is too small to justify a hire and too important to leave to chance. It is an insurer, so accuracy and an audit trail come before speed.
The team sits in Frankfurt am Main. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. Most people do this on weekday evenings; replies inside the working day are not expected.
What you deliver
- Document close, expense, capitalisation and approval policies for a finance team of four.
- One round of edits after the company's review is included
- A 20-minute walkthrough call, or a recorded screen share if you prefer
- A final note stating what was checked and what was left out of scope
How the work runs
- Day 1: kickoff call and access to the files
- Days 2 to 8: the work, with questions answered the same day
- Last day: delivery and a short walkthrough
Duration: 1 to 2 weeks. Accepted on the company's written OK. If something is missed, you fix it in the same week at no extra charge to either side.
