# Fractional vs full time

At the same hourly rate, five to fifteen hours a week cost a fraction of a full-time hire, with no notice period and no placement fee.

## The arithmetic

A senior FP&A analyst at $90 an hour, plus 15%.

A full month has about 173 working hours. At $90 an hour that is $15,570 before the 15% fee; five hours a week is $1,950, ten is $3,900 and fifteen (the platform cap) is $5,850.

A full-time employee also costs salary-related extras: benefits, payroll taxes, equipment and recruitment. Those depend on your country and are not included in the figures here.
