## About this task

This specialty insurer covering fleets and logistics (11–50 employees) is looking for a manager Business Analyst for an ongoing part-time engagement of 3–6 h a week. Writes and refines stories so engineers can start.

Workload peaks and dips, so a few fixed hours a week fit better than a full-time seat. It is an insurer, so accuracy and an audit trail come before speed.

The work is fully remote. Any location in United States works, with a few hours of overlap with the team's day. Most people do this on weekday evenings; replies inside the working day are not expected. About 3 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (ET).

## What you deliver

- Refine 15 backlog stories each week with acceptance criteria and open questions listed.

- Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call

- Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day

- A written update every Thursday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked

## What a week looks like

- Daily: one hour at a time that suits you, inside the agreed window

- Monday: ten-minute sync if anything is blocked

- Thursday: weekly summary posted to the shared thread

**Duration:** 6 months, then month by month. Accepted on the company's written OK. If something is missed, you fix it in the same week at no extra charge to either side.

## Tools

## Who fits

- 7-12 years of hands-on work as a Business Analyst, or the equivalent mix of roles

- Comfortable working in Jira and Confluence

- Your own work history stays private; the company sees a first name, your field and a rate

### Nice to have

## Not included

- Work outside the scope written in the brief; extra items are quoted separately

- On-call availability outside the agreed window

- Anything that needs a signature in your own name unless the brief says so

## How you get paid

- The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.

- Deftridge pays you in USD after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.

- You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.

- You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
