## About this task

This government IT contractor serving transport agencies (501–1,000 employees) is looking for a specialist Compliance Analyst for a monthly bundle of recurring tasks, 8–20 h a month. Reviews customer files for completeness.

A named list of recurring items keeps the month predictable for both sides. It supplies the public sector, so documentation follows contract rules.

The team sits in Cardiff. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (UK time).

## What you deliver

- Review 100 onboarding files for missing documents and adverse media hits.

- A named list of items moved to next month, so nothing is lost

- A month-end summary with hours used against the cap

- A running log of open questions, reviewed at the start of each week

## What a month looks like

- Week 1: intake call and a list of what is due this month

- Weeks 2 and 3: items completed in short sessions

- Week 4: month-end summary and the list for next month

**Duration:** 12 weeks, with a monthly hours cap. Accepted when the output matches the agreed checklist and the sample check passes; the recruiter confirms by e-mail.

## Tools

Excel Dow Jones World-Check

## Who fits

- 2-5 years of hands-on work as a Compliance Analyst, or the equivalent mix of roles

- Comfortable working in Excel, Dow Jones and World-Check

- Your own work history stays private; the company sees a first name, your field and a rate

### Nice to have

- A habit of asking one clarifying question early rather than five late

- Has worked with a distributed team across time zones

## Not included

- Anything that needs a signature in your own name unless the brief says so

- Managing other contractors or employees

- On-call availability outside the agreed window

## How you get paid

- The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.

- Deftridge pays you in GBP after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.

- You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.

- You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
