## About this task

This health insurer for travel (201–500 employees) is looking for a specialist Business Analyst for a single piece of work with a fixed scope and a fixed price. Maps how work happens today and where it breaks.

It is a self-contained job: scope, checklist and price are agreed before you start. It is an insurer, so accuracy and an audit trail come before speed.

The work is fully remote. Any location in United Kingdom works, with a few hours of overlap with the team's day. Most people do this on weekday evenings; replies inside the working day are not expected. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (UK time).

## What you deliver

- Map the quote-to-cash process with pain points and measured handoff delays.

- The finished deliverable in the agreed file format, with sources and assumptions listed

- One round of edits after the company's review is included

- A final note stating what was checked and what was left out of scope

## How the work runs

- Day 1: kickoff call and access to the files

- Days 2 to 7: the work, with questions answered the same day

- Last day: delivery and a short walkthrough

**Duration:** 1 to 2 weeks. Accepted when the output matches the agreed checklist and the sample check passes; the recruiter confirms by e-mail.

## Who fits

- 2-5 years of hands-on work as a Business Analyst, or the equivalent mix of roles

- Comfortable working in Visio, Lucidchart and Miro

## Not included

- Work outside the scope written in the brief; extra items are quoted separately

- Managing other contractors or employees

- Travel or work at a fixed location

## How you get paid

- The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.

- Deftridge pays you in GBP after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.

- You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.

- You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
