## About this task

This specialty retailer selling outdoor gear (51–200 employees) is looking for a senior Payroll Specialist for an ongoing part-time engagement of 3–6 h a week. Collects changes, runs the payroll and checks the register.

Workload peaks and dips, so a few fixed hours a week fit better than a full-time seat. It is a retailer with stores and an online channel, and the team works to a weekly trading rhythm.

The work is fully remote. Any location in United States works, with a few hours of overlap with the team's day. Most people do this on weekday evenings; replies inside the working day are not expected. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (CT).

## What you deliver

- Run the bi-weekly payroll for 120 employees, compare to the prior run and resolve variances above 5%.

- Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day

- Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call

- A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends

## What a week looks like

- Friday: pick up the queue and confirm priorities

- Midweek: two short working sessions of one to two hours

- Wednesday: update sent before the company's end of day

**Duration:** 12 weeks, renewable. Accepted when the company contact confirms the deliverable against the written checklist. One round of edits is included.
